SITUATION: The Mexic-Arte museum is located in Austin, TX. It is dedicated to providing cultural enrichment and education to the community by showcasing collections of both contemporary and traditional Mexican and Latino Art.
CONCEPT: Creating a cohesive design throughout the museum that showcases the contemporary latino artist/that aesthetic while also paying a homage to the traditional styles in hopes of engaging our target (those unfamiliar with latinos) to gain an understanding of Latinos and the culture that extends beyond what is portrayed in the media.
For the web design, we focused on simplicity in order to keep it functional. The design is meant to be more engaging for the audience than the previous design.
The website will present information in English and Spanish.
The website matches colors with the different content and information.
The print design mixes traditional Latino art with modern artworks. Our color inspiration came from Latino culture, particularly Mexican architects like Luis Barragan.
